Change Icon without changing text area

I use the device to present permanently some home automation status codes.

For example all windows all closed, ...

Therefore it would be nice to only change the icon of a running app for example the clock-app. I only want to change the icon without disturbing the clock-counter.

I've been waiting for a feature like this. I primarily use my LaMetric Time as a clock and want to see different clock faces triggered by different  things... all while still seeing the time.

If I’m understanding this right, this is now an option via IFTTT. There are now recipes to change just the clock face based off of triggers. I use it to change the clock face based off of holidays and different times of the year.
