Wi-Fi Hotspot from Smartphone - Does it work with LaMetric?

So basically at my University the routers and wi-fi are protected and I am sure I won't be able to connect my LaMetric to it.
However, I was wondering if I could simply run the LaMetric Wi-Fi simply by making a Wi-Fi hotspot from my Smartphone. If it does then I'll buy it! If not then I might wait.
Can someone test it?

Yes, LaMetric works with mobile hot spots just fine. But to configure it you should have at least two mobile devices. One in hot spot mode and another one for connecting LaMetric to that hot spot.
