I tried the only stock ticker I could find on the Marketplace, and for one symbol it worked, but then causes "Too many API" calls errors - so its not much use really....

I was going to write an API for Google sheets to work around this, but then found the "My Data (Google Sheets)" App - and just did a fudge around using the Google Finance functions in Google Sheets to create a decent looking stock ticker.

You can find a sample Google Sheet I use here - it has some instructions - is very simple to adjust the formulaes if you need to, and works pretty well with up to 9 or 10 tickers.

Great idea/fix! For some reason I can't edit any text settings in the "My Data (Google Sheets)" APP though, just keep getting a pop up with cancel/ok when I check say the cell or url settings. Click cancel or ok, tap on the text field again, boom - pop up! Agh!

Derp, the LaMetric APP doesn't work well with dark/theme mode on Android :) back to light mode and boom, all good!

@Phil - how did you get on?  Hopefully you could take a copy of the Google Sheet.
